RUBASSE MICRO SERIES 3KG COFFEE ROASTER

The Rubasse Micro Series 3KG Electric Coffee Roaster boasts patented near-infrared heating for high heating efficiency and low energy consumption. It's features include a fully automatic system, linear control of exhaust, drum speed and heating power, a profiling system, integrated touchscreen and low energy consumption for maximum efficiency. The Micro Series 3KG has a batch capacity of between 300g - 3KG and is available in 3 specification levels - Classic, Pro and Roast-Master.

PATENTED DIRECT RADIATION HEATING TECHNOLOGY

The secret to roasting spectacular coffee. Near-infrared radiation (NIR) technology is the choice of heat source for all Rubasse roasters due to how effectively the heat is absorbed by the coffee beans and its ultra-responsive, rapid heating capabilities (despite being an electric roaster, which is traditionally associated with steady but sluggish heating). By placing the NIR heating element at the centre of the drum and designing the roasting drum and airflow accordingly, Rubasse have significantly improved the energy efficiency during the roast process, compared to traditional gas roasters.

PRECISE HEATING CONTROL FOR EVEN ROASTS

Radiation roasting produces consistently even batches of roasted coffee, resulting in clean and vibrant flavour. By altering the input wattage, users can achieve precise control over heat, unlike the traditional gas roaster, where steady heat supply is a challenge due to external conditions such as humidity and ambient temperature.

With near-infrared technology, the heat is applied quickly. It only takes 3 seconds to react to the coffee beans. In contrast, a conventional coffee roaster takes over 1 minute to heat up. The heat is able to penetrate up to 1 cm of the coffee bean from every angle, heating the surface and core of the bean simultaneously, resulting in an incredibly even roast batch, everytime.

AUTO-PILOT SYSTEM FOR HANDS FREE ROASTING

All Rubasse roasters are equipped with their auto pilot system, for hands free roasting and enhanced efficiency. Rubasse's Auto Preheat system allows the roaster to reach the target charge temperature within 5 minutes and complete up to 5 roasts per hour. In comparison, a traditional drum roaster can take 30 minutes or more to reach the charge temperature and complete around 2 batches per hour.

The following steps show how Rubasse's auto-pilot system completes a roast independently:

1. Auto charge begins after auto preheating is complete.

2. Fully automated smart roasting technology will begin the roast, following your pre-selected roast profile by automatically adjusting heat power, exhaust, and drum rotation speed in accordance.

3. Once the roast is complete, the roaster will automatically discharge the beans into the cooling tray.

4. Automatic cooling and stirring of the beans will commence

5. Automatic release of the roasted beans from the cooling tray  into container.

Air Pressure System

AIR PRESSURE COMPENSATION SYSTEM

Advanced air pressure stabilization technology redefines the roasting experience. Rubasse's state-of-the-art differential pressure compensation system ensures that you achieve consistent and exceptional flavour profiles with every batch.

Advanced air pressure stabilization can control the pressure difference to stabilize the actual exhaust volume. For example, if the current pressure difference is too low due to a partially blocked exhaust tube, the machine will automatically adjust the exhaust to maintain the consistent air pressure with the recorded value.

How does this benefit the user?

Consistent Flavour Reproduction - Say goodbye to the variability caused by exhaust blockages. Their technology automatically adjusts to maintain optimal exhaust volume, guaranteeing that your coffee beans are roasted to perfection every time.

Extended Cleaning Intervals - Reduce downtime and operational costs. Rubasse Roasters minimizes the need for frequent cleaning by compensating for reduced airflow, allowing you to focus on what matters most—crafting exquisite coffee.

User-Friendly Experience - Enjoy seamless roasting with automated alerts that remind you when it’s time to clean, ensuring your machine is always operating at peak efficiency without interrupting your workflow.

Real-Time Adjustments - This intelligent system monitors and adjusts the exhaust in real time, ensuring that even under challenging conditions, your roasting profile remains unchanged. Experience flawless temperature reproduction and high consistency.

SAFTEY FEATURES

Preheat Safety

With a traditional drum coffee roaster, the roaster needs to be warmed up from room temperature to a higher operating temperature before roasting. With a gas roasting machine, this process can take a long time, sometimes over half an hour. Roasters often use this time to select beans, brew coffee, and tend to other tasks. If they are not standing in front of the roasting machine, they might return later to find that the fire has not ignited and accidentally ignite it, potentially causing a flash fire or explosion. In comparison, a Rubasse roaster is able to reach the target temperature within 5 minutes, which is incredibly fast and eradicates the temptation to leave the roaster unattended whilst it preheats.

Rubasse not only allows the computer to automatically warm up the machine at a fast rate but also automatically controls the firepower to keep the warm-up temperature constant at the set value. It locks the upper limit of the preheat temperature to 260°C for safety, even if the user mistakenly enters 300°C. If you are a novice roaster or negligent for a moment, the Rubasse's safety features prevent dangerous mistakes from occurring.

Automatic shut off

When roasting coffee beans to a dark level where the second crack is imminent, the temperature will typically reach around 240°C. However, if the temperature exceeds 260°C, the coffee beans will become carbonised and could potentially catch fire inside the roasting chamber. With a Rubasse roaster, the computer software will detect if the temperature inside the drum has exceeded 260°C and automatically shut off the fire power, lock the exhaust and sound an alarm to prevent further heating and mitigate the risk of coffee bean combustion.

Profile Replication System

Level 2 (classic Spec) - The roaster will replicate the profile according to the 'timing' to adjust the exact manual operating system (heat/exhaustion/drum rpm) The same bean weights must be used to run profile replication.

Level 3 (Pro Spec) - The roaster replicates the profile according to the 'bean temp'. The roast will automatically adjust based on the bean temp as it sees fit.

Level 4 (Roast-Master Spec) - The roaster will replicate the profile and auto-adjust according to the rate of rise (RoR). Different bean weights can be used to run replication.

The Rubasse Micro-Series 3KG Roaster is available in 3 different specification levels; the Classic, Pro and Roast-Master. The specifications for each are shown in the table above.
